The Role

Lead a team of writers, and oversee the content strategy for the Agency across multiple clients. The editorial team will generate, write, upload and publish high-quality editorial output, with a view to growing client KPIs, and strengthening the agency relationship with the brands.


Responsibilities:

  • Managing the editorial team, ensuring the highest quality of written content production, from process and quality control to brand tone of voice

  • Leading the content strategy for both the agency as a whole, as well as mapping out brand direction in line with client objectives, and shaping KPIs where necessary

  • Maintaining a keen eye on industry developments and competitors for our clients

  • Developing relationships with publishers, developers and PRs, for our clients, in order to deliver unique content

  • Supporting the Agency Director with idea generation for new business proposals

  • Ensuring our teams adhere to copyright laws, IP rights, and referencing original sources where required

  • Ensuring all team members log their timesheet hours for projects so we can capture real costs

  • Attending pitch meetings, and proposal calls where requested, and assist in putting together possible content examples

  • Monitoring social media and SEO trends, in order to deliver high quality content

  • Training and upskilling members of the team on latest tone of voice documentation, SEO developments and process changes

  • Using the company’s workflow tools correctly and effectively, including Asana, GSuite, etc, as well as client workflow tools, such as CRM systems, and content planners. 

  • Other as requested by the Agency Director

 

Requirements:

  • The ability to lead a team that can write brilliantly and quickly, to a high standard (communication, organisation skills and emotional intelligence)

  • Significant experience in the video games industry and a good knowledge of gaming culture

  • Knowledge and understanding of social media

  • Experience in commercial content, pitching new ideas with clients and conversing with clients about content strategy

  • Proficiency with basic working tools: docs, sheets, task management, etc

  • Proactivity, attention to detail, and excellent organisation
