We are a global media business specialising in the gaming industry.  We have a publishing arm consisting of a dozen owned websites including, and over 140 network site partners such as  We produce class-leading content for clients via our creative agency team, and work with publishers and advertisers to unlock audience value.  We are based in Bath but are open to taking-on remote employees within the UK too.

The Role

As Marketing Data Analyst you will be regularly tasked with gathering insights (demographics, gaming trends etc.) from our in-house data pool and company surveys. 

The ideal candidate will be passionate about gaming, enjoy engaging and presenting to others, and understand how to leverage data to generate insightful outcomes. 

You’ll have strong quantitative analysis skills, as it will be your responsibility to look through these data pools in order to pick out important stats / insights which the commercial team can use to strengthen their sales story to prospective clients. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Devising and evaluating methods of collecting data (surveys / questionnaires)

  • Formulating a plan and presenting it to senior management for survey strategies

  • Interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations

  • Use the insights to create commercial decks for the sales team and wider business as a whole

  • Gathering and analysing statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it

  • Remaining fully informed on market trends, other parties research and implement best practices and understanding industry movements in particular with regards to cookie depreciation and its impact on publisher data

  • Helping to maintain our existing data taxonomy, ensuring it’s up to date and fit for multiple purposes.

  • Identifying opportunities for growth, influencing key stakeholders and pushing initiatives to a successful outcome. 

Person specification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Maths or a related discipline (or equivalent qualification)

  • Substantive and demonstrable experience in a marketing analyst or similar role

  • Possess a strong understanding of search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and Python

  • Ability to create dashboards and reports, visualising data in a clear way

  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, surveys etc.)

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking

  • Strong interpersonal skills: excellent communication and presentation skills are a must. You are able to explain complexity in a concise and clear way.

  • You will be at ease working closely with multiple stakeholders especially between the sales and marketing teams to identify opportunities for new pitches / decks etc. 

  • Comfortable presenting and advising senior management on the best ways to use provided data

  • Experience in working with platforms such as BlueKai / Permutive / Comscore / Google Cloud Platform / Data Studio / BeOp / Google Analytics

  • Experience in video games industry and/ or a good knowledge of games and gaming culture


  • Experience in running surveys, questionnaires and then collating the data and presenting to senior management. 

  • Knowledge of digital marketing & advertising technology ecosystem
